Program Information
This program provides assistance to individuals in Spokane County who, through uncertain circumstances, have struggled and want a better life, but lack the resources to get started. Students must be nominated by a mentor and will receive a scholarship to any LaunchNW-partnered institution to help offset tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation, housing, and other related costs associated with supporting their educational endeavors.

Household Size and Income


To determine Household Size:
For a dependent applicant, include yourself, your parent (and parent's spouse or partner), your parent’s dependent children (even if they live apart because of college enrollment), and other people living with your parent now. Include dependent children and other people only if your parent will provide more than half of your support between July 1 and June 30 of the award year covered by the FAFSA.

For an independent applicant, include yourself, your spouse, your dependent children, any unborn child, and other people living with you now. Include dependent children and other people only if you will provide more than half of their support between July 1 and June 30 of the award year covered by the FAFSA.

Use the adjusted gross income value reported in your family's 2024 tax return.

FERPA Release
STUDENT RELEASE OF RECORDS FERPA AUTHORIZATION FORM 


The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is designed to protect the privacy of, and access to, a student’s educational records. These records may include academic, financial aid, scholarship, athletics, veterans, and billing/account information. Records will not be released without prior written consent from the student. Students must complete and submit this form allowing the release of their educational records and financial aid information to Innovia Foundation’s LaunchNW initiative in order to maintain scholarship eligibility.

I have a right to inspect any written records released pursuant to this Consent (except for parents’ financial records and certain letters of recommendation for which the student waived inspection rights). I understand I may revoke this Consent upon providing written notice to my academic institution, which will result in the termination of my receipt of the scholarship.



College Navigation Support

Scholarship awards through the Scelfo LaunchNW Opportunity Scholarship are up to $10,000, to be used over a full school year. The Scelfo LaunchNW Opportunity Scholarship program also includes the following required supports:

1. Monthly connection to a mutually agreed upon mentor.
2. Monthly cohort meetings with other Scelfo LaunchNW Opportunity Scholarship recipients.
3. Access to additional support services and resources to reduce any barriers that may get in the way of you achieving success during the school year.

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and understand that, as a condition of maintaining good standing with the scholarship, I am required to engage with the programs outlined above if I receive funding.
