LaunchNW 2025 FAFSA Completion Challenge School Grant Application

Grant Summary:

The 2025 FAFSA Completion Challenge is an exciting initiative to encourage schools to increase FAFSA completion rates among their graduating seniors. This program highlights the importance of FAFSA completion in helping students access financial aid and pursue post-high school education or training opportunities.

Grant awards will be provided to any school that achieves a 15-percentage point increase or higher in FAFSA completion rates, as compared to rates from May 31, 2024. This data will be pulled from the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) dashboard.  This ensures all schools have an opportunity to be recognized for their efforts, regardless of size or initial completion rates.

Schools must submit their weekly FAFSA completion data and consent to LaunchNW publishing that data on the FAFSA Opens Doors website to be eligible.

Schools are encouraged to implement creative and effective strategies to engage students and families, including:

  • Hosting FAFSA completion events.
  • Providing one-on-one FAFSA support.
  • Launching targeted outreach campaigns to boost awareness and participation.

Grant funds can be used to sustain or expand these efforts, ensuring ongoing support for FAFSA completion and post-high school readiness. We look forward to supporting schools in their efforts to help more students unlock financial aid opportunities and pursue their educational goals.
